Grace turned 15!!
This week we celebrated Grace! Grace is such a light to others. She has a big heart and is always looking for ways to serve other people. We love her so much!! Thursday was a busy day, she had school, play practice, and voice lessons. So we didn't think we would see her much. We decorated her door and Bryce bought cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Then we were all off. It worked out nicely because play practice finished early and voice lessons were canceled. That night we hung out at home. Grace made one of her awesome chocolate cakes for her birthday and she decorated it with darling frosting flowers. Lynn and Kay called from Fiji and Mom and Dad stopped by to say hi.
On Wednesday Grace had an orthodontist appointment and she gets braces off next month. We decided to make it a fun afternoon, Abby stayed home from an exhausting day at drill so the three of us went to lunch and did some online shopping.
Abby participated in the State Semi-Finals for drill on Tuesday. They have grown so much as a team and they looked great! Didn't turn out like they were hoping, but they did a good job.
Friday night the girls went to Winter Girls Camp. The theme was Becoming As He Is. They did a humanitarian project where they sewed drawstring bags and assembled hygiene kits. They made becoming boxes, where they had decorated these boxes, and filled them with some items to help them Become like our Savior. They played games and hung out with their YW friends.
Spencer went to a scout campout on Friday night. It has been such a wet rainy week and Friday was no different. So they hung out in their tent and stayed warm. Saturday I had set up a temple baptism appointment, the girls had girls camp, so it was just Spencer, Bryce, and I. It was fun to see him perform the baptisms and we went out to lunch after. Then that night Bryce took Spencer on a hike
Ben is still serving in Saginaw Michigan. He is a Zone Leader with Elder Driggs. They are teaching a sister names Tracie who is coming to church and comitted to baptism. John is learning and was able to come to church last week. Linda is working towards Feb 17th baptism. Ben goes on a lot of exchanges, he went with Elder Fonnesbeck to Oscada. He had a baptism interview he gave while there. He is learning and growing. Elder Driggs and Ben ward share with Sister Clanton and Sister Bean. They always seem to have a fun time together.
