January is Flying by

This month has been a full, busy month. 

Spencer has had a really big month. He was ordained and deacon and started going to Young Men's on Wednesdays. It's so weird because all three kids leave to go to YM/YW and Bryce has Elder's quorum meeting on Wednesdays, so I am home alone. I made a baptism temple appointment for my kids this month and Spencer was able to go to baptisms for the dead. Spencer also started passing the sacrament in church. No more primary for my kids, we have entered a new phase. 

For Christmas Spencer got some snow skis. So he has been a few times to Nordic with Bryce. (It is so unfortunate - there was a fire at Nordic, so right now it is closed) Spencer passed his Hunter safety written test and his shooting test. He is ready to go hunting now. Spencer has been able to go to some Weber State basketball games. This weekend Bryce, Spencer, and Kent went to Bear Lake to check on everything. Then Saturday they went to the library to watch Brandon Mull speak. Spencer liked listening to him speak and tell stories. 

Grace started Annie Jr. play practice rehearsals after school. She has been staying after school most days for an hour or two. In November she tried out for the play and she got the role of the apple seller in NYC and Annette the maid in the mansion. She is still taking voice lessons and we love to hear her singing and listening to music. She has been busy with school and her new classes are going well. She has theater, sewing, and child development. 

Abby has been busy with drill this month. She had another drill competition in Salt Lake and the next weekend she had Region at Weber High. It didn't turn out like they were hoping, but they looked amazing!! They have performed at a few games, had a team dinner, a team send off, and lots of practices. She has some tricky classes, but she is doing well keeping it all going.

Bryce and I have been busy following our kids around. Driving to practices, scouts, drill competitions, games, and school. This has been a fun month with lots going on. For the Salt Lake competition we drove home in a snowstorm. We didn't drive about 30 mph from Farmington to home. Then Bryce went to the school and with a few other dads started uncovering the girls cars from the snow. 

Ben is doing well in Saginaw with Elder Driggs. They are working with a few investigators and hoping things go well. They stay busy with exchanges and teaching. They had a new set of Spanish-speaking Elders move into their apartment, it was a little adjustment but they are enjoying having them now. They share a ward with the sisters and the Spanish-speaking Elders.  He has been teaching himself how to play the guitar and overall really seems to be loving his mission right now. He is happy and busy and learning!
