Christmas Time

As always we had such a great month of December.  It is always one of my favorite times of the year.  So we stayed with tradition and had some of our annual 12 Days of Christmas activities: sleep by the Christmas tree, Dance by the Christmas tree, dip pretzels in chocolate, read Christmas stories by the tree, and all of our other favorites.  

Then it wouldn't be Christmas without a visit from Santa Clause.  Grace and Cori got front row seats and were so excited to watch Santa hand out the presents.  Spencer wasn't so sure about the big guy, but he did stay long enough to get his present.  

This year we tried something new this year - Christmas socks.  Each member of the family got a new pair of Christmas socks to wear to the parties.  We thought it was a fun new thing to try.  

Christmas Eve was at our house this year.  It was just for anyone who wanted to come over, but we always have a lot of fun and the kids have fun planning some activities.  We had the kids act out the nativity and read the Night before Christmas by the tree.  

The next morning was great.  Ben woke up way before everyone else and was dying for the girls to wake up.  So they all had a chance to finish their Christmas oatmeal in our breakfast before Grandma and Grandpa come over and we opened our gifts.  Spencer got a fun slide, Ben got a Wii game, Abby got a baby alive and a pogo stick, and Grace got a baby alive and a tablet.  It was such a great Christmas.
