A big Year

I got so behind in my blogging and have missed so many of the great things that have happened with Abby the last year I thought before it gets too crazy around here I better backtrack.
Last fall Abby started soccer.  She is such an athletic girl she loves sports and tries to keep up with her big brother, so it was no surprise when she was a great soccer player.  Her first game she got right in there against the other team and took the ball away and wasn't afraid to go after the ball.  She was quite the scorer as well.  She had a great fall season.  This spring she has been much more hesitant, she has yet to play in one of the games, but I know when she starts to play again she will be awesome.

Also last fall she decided she wanted to try to ride her big brothers bike without training wheels.  She was pretty good, but it was a little bigger.  So while Bryce and Ben were gone we took the training wheels off her bike and within minutes she was riding up and down the street on her own.  Bryce came home to a little girl who could ride the bike without training wheels.  She only needed help to start, but by the next day she didn't even need help to start or stop.  She can do anything she puts her mind to.

Abby has also had a lot of fun at preschool this year.  We have gone on a lot of fun field trips like Smith and Edwards, Lee's, Treehouse Museum, and the fish farm.  We had a blast at the fish farm and caught the biggest fish there, and she wasn't afraid to touch the fish.  Abby is excited to go to Kindergarten and is ready to learn.  She loves to read and use numbers.  Ben has been teaching her and she loves to add and subtract numbers up to ten.  She also started speech this year and has worked so hard with Mrs. Cox and has mastered the 'k' sound.  Now she is ready to move on to learn a few other sounds.
Abby also did dance this year.  For Valentines Abby was able to go with her dad to a daddy daughter dance.  While she wasn't totally impressed with the games she was excited to take her dad anywhere.  This little girl loves her dad.
Abby loves to dance and is always making up new dances to perform for us.  We tried a new dance class this year and I think she has learned a lot.  She loves to take the dance moves and put them together.  Her and her cousin Chloe were in the same class.  Her recital is tomorrow and she is a little nervous, but excited to show her family the dance.  I hope the excitement takes over and she doesn't get too nervous to perform.

We love our Abby so much.  She is my best helper.  She is always waking up and making her bed before I can ask.  She is so good and getting her chores done and helping Grace finish her chores up.  She is so smart and loves to learn.  She will soak up any new information you give her.  She also is very athletic any sport she puts her mind too she is great at.  She is very emotional and loves to be one on one.  She hates big groups and gets easily overwhelmed or stressed, but she is working really hard on those things.  She is such a wonderful girl and I can't wait to see what the next year brings.
