Riding around the town
He quickly mastered his little bike without training wheels and was riding his bike all over Plain City. He loves to go on rides to visit his Grandma or his cousins. So of course Abby wanted to ride too. So they went on rides with their Grandma or with Bryce and I whenever we would take them. It took a little patience, because they were a little slow, but they love it. Abby would just ride her tricycle so she would petal as hard as she could, but it was just a lot of work for her little legs.
My mom had them on a bike ride one day going over to her house and they had about 100 yards or so left and Abby was getting really tired. My mom asked if she wanted some help or if she wanted her to carry the bike. Abby told her no, then kept on repeating "I can do it, I can do it." And she did. She rode her bike all the way to my mom's house all by herself.
So we realized that Ben's bike was way too small, so for his birthday he got a new bike. He loves it. He is so good at it. Which means we had an extra little bike, which was given to Abby. She picked up on it really well. She still has a hard times on bumps or things like that, but she is so much quicker and loves to ride it all over. Now she loves to ride to Grandma's and her cousin's and doesn't get quite as tired on the way.
This has become something we love to do as a family. The last two Sunday's we have gone on bike ride's past our old house. Ben rides his bike and Bryce or I pull the two girls in the bike trailer. We have a blast all riding our bikes together.
