House Update - Month #1

We have now been building for one month and so much has happened. It is so exciting to watch all the progress. I am always looking forward to see the next change. I forget sometimes about the "slow" stuff like hooking up to the sewer and utilities.

So some of the changes go unnoticed, but are very important, so most of the hook ups are now done. Also the barn was torn down this month so the walls could go up. It was exciting and sad all at the same time. I couldn't believe how quickly you can tear down such a big building.

Blake also finished the floor and got a few of the outside walls up. It is so fun to see the structure taking a shape. When the lumber came we were all in shock at how much lumber it will take to build the house and the amount of wood for the trusses - wow!

Ben loves to go over. He wants to be at the house all the time. He loves to see what is going on and watch the progress. My kids love to walk around the house at night and have us show them their rooms. They also love the crawlspace, they love to go under the house and run around. We are having so much fun watching everything take shape.

We can't wait to see more progress!! Living in this house will make us appreciate our new space.
