Nicknames

This is something I don't ever want to forget. Ben is such a great brother, he takes such good care of his sisters. He has always loved his sisters from the day we brought each of his sisters home he has loved them and watched out for them.
When Abby came home from the hospital Ben just wanted to take his picture with his sister. He loved to hold her and lay next to her and just be with her.
Then as Abby got older Ben has continued to be a great brother. He is always making sure she is involved and part of the group. He doesn't like her to be left out.
When Ben gets something he is really good to make sure Abby gets whatever it is too.
Then when we found out Grace was a girl we were worried about how Ben would react, but he has always been great with his sisters. He loves them both and plays with them so well. He is very close with his sisters.

So it only seems fitting that Grace has now started to respond to Ben's nickname like her own name. So what is her nickname you might ask . . . goo goo. Yes, Ben decided it on his own. But yesterday when Ben called her that she turned and ran to him. She loves her brother as much as he loves her. They have a very special bond. She smiles in the morning as soon as she sees him.
This is not the first time Ben has given a nickname. Abby also had a special nickname when she was young and then as she grew older Ben quit using her name of mushy tushy. So with all these nicknames Abby has given one to Ben. A friend by the name of Ben once told me to never call Ben - Benny. Well you can't tell your two year old that, and now it has stuck. It really is cute and I find myself calling him that as well every once in a while.
So with a Benny, Mushy Tushy, and a Goo Goo we have a lot of names to remember.
