Christmas

(OK this was typed a while ago, but I am so behind on taking my pictures off my camera. I finally got around to it and thought I would post some Christmas pictures)

Christmas was so fun. My kids are at the funniest ages. They woke up Christmas morning and Santa left breakfast in their bedroom. They didn't even question why we ate first, they sat down and ate their breakfast because Santa brought it to them.

We called Lynn and Kay to come watch our kids open gifts (which is one of my favorite memories as a child to have my grandparents come and watch us open gifts. My parents are rotating homes so they came last year - it makes it so fun) My kids were so excited. They ate while we waited for their grandparents. But they took so long to eat that finally we told them they could finish breakfast later, because Lynn and Kay were there and we were just waiting for them.
Then when they came downstairs they of course were so excited. They got a little indoor tramp. Abby saw it first and got right onto it. Ben didn't even see the tramp because he started looking for his name under the tree. They had a lot of fun opening their gifts.

Ben was so excited to get "The Polar Express" the movie. It was one of the few things he really wanted from Santa.

The other thing he asked for was a giant green dinosaur, so when he opened his smaller dinosaur I wasn't sure what he would say, but he didn't mind the size, but he said that it was the wrong color. He was really good about everything he got. He enjoyed just opening the gifts.

Abby was so funny. She was so slow to open her gifts. She would tear off the smallest amount of paper and then hand it to someone to throw away. She really didn't have a favorite gift, she just moves from one thing to another. She did get a new doll with a diaper bag that was fun to watch her play with.

She is getting to be such a little girly girl. She loves to watch me put on makeup and she wants to wear makeup too. She is so fun.

Then our kids played with their toys for a couple of hours before the visiting began. We are so lucky to live so close to our families and visiting on Christmas was so nice. We went to my parents for lunch and our kids got to open more gifts and play with their cousins. Abby loved Beau, she loved to hold him.

Abby got a broom and cleaning stuff. It was so funny to watch her and Gage clean my mom's kitchen, they didn't want to quit. Of course naps made us leave before our kids were ready, but Holidays are long without naps.
So we went home and our kids had some naps and down time. Ben just got out every toy and experimented with it. Abby took a great nap.
So when we went to Lynn and Kay's my kids were rested and so happy. Then of course they opened more gifts. They had a lot of fun playing with their cousins and their new gifts. Ben got the Tag reading system which I love. He has 3 books that he reads over and over. Each page has a game and you can touch anything and everything you touch does something. It is great.
Anyway our Christmas was great. I was so excited to watch my kids and it was as great as I thought it would be. They were so much fun.
